Wisdom teeth
Third molars often stay trapped in the bone or erupt at an angle, damaging the neighbouring tooth and causing recurring inflammation. We always take a CBCT scan before removal - it shows exactly how the roots relate to the mandibular nerve and the maxillary sinus, which sharply reduces the risk of complications.
Bone grafting
After an extraction the alveolar bone resorbs fastest during the first six months. If you are planning an implant later, socket preservation at the time of extraction is strongly recommended - it is far cheaper and simpler than a full augmentation afterwards.
Recovery
Every patient receives written aftercare instructions: what to eat, how to clean the area, and when to call us. The first 24 hours are decisive for keeping the blood clot in place - losing it is what causes dry socket (alveolar osteitis).
